It is suitable for standard A3 laminating pouches, A4 laminating pouches and smaller pouch sizes used within the A3 feed width. It also supports a maximum lamination thickness of 2 mm, making it suitable for selected thicker materials, mounting board and foil applications.

The Fellowes Proteus A3 can laminate both with and without pouch carriers, depending on the application. For standard A3, A4 and smaller documents in normal laminating pouches, it can be used carrier-free.

If you intend to laminate small, multiple items inside a larger pouch, such as flash cards, or odd-shaped items such as stars, speech bubbles or cut-outs, we recommend using a Lifejacket pouch carrier. A Lifejacket is also recommended for uneven items such as children’s artwork, collages or mixed-material projects.

Using the correct pouch, carrier method and temperature setting helps reduce the risk of pouch jams, poor results or machine damage. For specialist applications such as mounting board, foils or other thicker materials, always check the material, pouch thickness and machine setting before running the job.
